F2F3 IMPACT Award Recipient: Siobhan Neilland of OneMama
Come celebrate fighting for joy with OneMama.org founder Siobhan Neilland, at the Flight 2 Freedom Summit 3.0. This third annual event hosted by Blossom Wealth Management and Baker Botts connects top Silicon Valley entrepreneurs, investors, and philanthropists with leaders around the world. The highlight of this four-day conference, the Female Founder’s Panel, honors women entrepreneurs. On Thursday, July 30th, Siobhan will be named this year’s IMPACT Award recipient among female entrepreneurs striving for global, social change.
Siobhan founded her maternal health nonprofit, OneMama.org, following a miscarriage that transformed her world. Seeing the pain and deplorable conditions in which pregnant women were forced to have their babies in Uganda, Siobhan decided to fight for the joy of others through an organization that empowers traditional midwives. “She turned tragedy into beauty,” said Adryenn Ashley, event organizer and longtime supporter of Siobhan who will present this year’s IMPACT Award. “Siobhan shows us what you can do with passion and nothing… she’s built this (organization) with innovation and love.”
The OneMama model uniquely supports rural communities surviving on under $1.25 a day with sustainable business practices. ShaBoom Products, an all-natural makeup and skincare company founded by Siobhan, as well as The OneMama Collection of clothing handmade by the OneMama Community in Uganda, serve as revenue streams for OneMama.org. Siobhan’s life work exemplifies what passion in action really looks like, and how we can each do our own part to make this world a better place.
